February 28th 2024 – Album Presentation No One Knows – Paradox Tilburg!

Next week we are going to play our release concert at Paradox Tilburg, and it’s going to be a special concert, since we will play the concert with the whole band!
For the very first time we will play the whole album live, with all of the musicians on the album. And the album won’t be online yet, BUT! I might already have the cd’s, so if you want to be the first person to have the album, you can get it after the concert😉

Sharing the stage next week with the amazing Harmen Fraanje, Pascal Vermeer, Teis Semey and Marijn van de Ven 😁😎🌟

Dragonfly – single release✨

The second single of the album will be released this Friday!
It is one of the compositions that we recorded with the quartet and I’m so excited to share this recording with you! I wrote all the compositions on piano, so this was a whole experiment to see how it would sound without a piano🎶
For the second half of the album, I wanted to try playing the compositions with other musicians that I really admired and I’m so glad that Teis, Marijn and Pascal wanted to add their unique sound and vision to the compositions🤍

Time is flying by and it kind of feels like a weird (but awesome!) dream to share all of these experiences from the past year with you all!And there is still plenty to come, here’s a little overview surrounding the album release and our concert at Paradox! The release was supposed to be this Friday, but due to a mistake from the distributor, the release will be Friday next week, on January 26th!

I am a little bit bummed about it, because I was really looking forward to sharing this song with you already, but then again, everyone makes mistakes, and I am starting to learn that nothing will go exactly as planned.
And I’m also not completely bummed about it, because now I get to share a bit of the album concept with you, since it coincidentally fits this situation perfectly😊

No One Knows is about not knowing what will happen. Not knowing exactly what someone else thinks or even what you might think. For me this album is about the unpredictability of life. And when something unexpected happens, I often appreciate it, even if it’s not how I initially wanted it to go.
I think it is very scary, but also so beautiful that we do not know what will happen, who we are, who others are. That it is a journey to find out what it is that you want and how you get there.
That you meet people along the way and sometimes you know them for a long time, sometimes you only know them briefly and that everyone has their own unique point of view.

This is not just the concept of the album, it is also how I try to look at everything and I do believe that everything happens for a reason😌
